Product customization tool for magento or oscommerce?
I am looking for a tool that can be used with magento or oscommerce that allows the user to customize their products. ie signs, tshirts, hats, business cards, etc. I'd like the user to be able to pick sizes, colors, enter text, preview text. If at all possible, I am looking for open source.

I am trying to use oscommerce because its free, to sell a specialized herb that sort of has a niche market?
the problem is, all the templates are really expensive or dont really match the theme at all. Is there a better way to do this, or an area with just basic templates for free and I can add graphics? Any advice would be appreciated.

I have an oscommerce shop with over 1 million products?
Hi, I have an oscommerce shop which I haven't been keeping up to date. I have decided to get it up and runnning properly ... the problem is it has over 1 million products registering on the website 1,000 of them are actually active and I have physically uploaded them the other lot I don't know where they came from or how to get rid of them .When I go to the cross section in the admin area, it shows thosands upon thousands of the same product and I think that is what is taking up all the room on the shop. My other problem is that because I have over 1 million products the website is soooooo slow ... Please help .. and thank you

How to install Oscommerce solution onto my server/website?
My website is blank at the moment. I was looking for a ecommerce solution and came across Oscommerce. It is a free software and at first looked pretty simple to install. Here is the problem...my hosting tells me to " Upload your web files into the " public html " directory" now Oscommerce tells me to " Extract this archive into your document root" the bad part about it is I have no idea. This is my first website and I am really trying to learn without messing everything up.Ok, I have uploaded and extracted the file to my public html like my server said. Nothing happens just whole bunch of other files. It says to change the permissions to 755 instead of 644 which from my assumptions I take it that this makes the files executable? So, I did this. Now it says type in your domain name install in the browser bar and it will walk you through installing. Well nothing happens when I do that just a 404 message. Someone please help me install oscommerce
