What kind of shopping cart software should i buy for a website selling mp3's, cd's and clothers?
I designed my brothers website and I want to put a shopping cart on it that will support digital downloads as well as tangible merchandise. I would like it to be self sufficient just upload the files and then paste the code where it needs to be. Ive looked all over online Im hoping for a one time cost not monthly payments.ok I guess no one wanted to read the question or at least know what I was talking about none of these choices have the digital download capability and I am not interested in subcontracting development I know how to build pages I just need a shopping cart that will send the mp3 when it has been paid for

I need user friendly shopping cart software for items that would be shipped & I am not a programmer. Any help?
The shopping cart will be linked to a website for a physical store both of which are already in place. I'm not a programmer, but not a dummy either. Does anyone have suggestions? Something that will work with paypal, usps, UPS. Do any of the administrative ends of these help manage inventory? Also, I am concerned about security and bugs in whatever software I use again, I'm not a programmer so wouldn't know how to code my way out of any of that . It doesn't have to be free, but inexpensive would be good. Thought about eBay and Yahoo shopping, but the costs are prohibitive there for just starting out. It can be PHP or CGI. I've read a lot on here about OScommerce & ZenCart, but both also have responses saying that they would be difficult to use for the non programming type. Please share whatever insight you might have. This is new for me and I'm grateful for any gems I can get. Hosting recommendations are appreciated too. Thanks
Running shopping cart software on a home server.?
I have an extra dual Xeon 2.8 Ghz, 2 GB DDR, dual SCSI server lying around that I would like to put to use as an ecommerce web server. What kind of things do I have to be careful about? I have limited linux knowledge but can do about anything I need to by looking up how to. I do not store credit card information on any of our servers or computers, this one won't be any different in that regard.I am interested in learning more about managing linux servers, and I though this would be a great way to do it.I currently have a dedicated IP and a 7m down 512k up connection. I can easily upgrade to a 15 1 connection and even a 15 2 connection if I have to. How much traffic can a 512k up connection handle?
How do I incorporate shopping cart software into my site?
I have no formal training when it comes to this stuff website design, html, etc , so I've had to learn everything on my own just be messing around and making mistakes.I'm at the point where I can use dreamweaver or microsoft expression web to make a pretty nice looking website. Now I want to add a shopping cart to it, and I'm at a total loss.Right now I have zencart though I am not opposed to switching to another software if that's suggested , and it seems like there is no way to incorporate products into my existing website that I edit with dreamweaver. Instead, it seems like my only option is to create a new site using their templates.Is this the case? If so, can the templates be edited with a program like dreamweaver? If not, is there software available out there that will allow me to just add the software to my existing site?Like I said, I've had to learn everything the hard way, so anyone willing to take the time to help me out is VERY much appreciated.

Ok its for a friend and he doesnt know shit about html or websites or scripts and I dont have the time to teach him.I need a very simple to use program that he can just type the item and price into and picture and it will load it onto the page for him. Does one exsist?Thank you.

Hey guys, I recently designed my own website, and I'm trying to integrate e commerce software in my design to I can have my customers build there own shopping cart, and log in and out of their account. I am aware of the available software that offers this, but none of them seem to allow me to integrate it into my own design. I've tried oscommerce, joomla, magento, and etc. I also have authorize.net setup so i can accept credit card payments online, so I would need this software to work with that as well, what could I use? and how would I integrate it? thanks.

I am a graphic designer that sells invites and favors online I am looking to use a shopping cart software so I don't have to keep manually entering all the information I think it also looks cheap. I am wondering if anyone knows of a good shopping cart program I could use...that is inexpensive..that I could use with the layout I already have for my website. right now i have paypal checkout.

I am a pro at SEO to get high rankings in google, yahoo, msn etc. All I need is to find the perfect shopping cart software to start building my site. I asked in a shopping cart forum and they mentioned blingcart.com I just want to know if anyone has used them before and if it will be easy to customize my site with it. Let me know. If you know of any other shopping cart that you have used please let me know aswell, maybe I can find a better one. One thing is I do need it to be a php shopping cart software.

What is the Best Shopping cart software out there for my website?
I am building an online website for a client We are doing MANY forms of marketing to promote their site blog, social networking etc. I am currently considering a Drupal option. The already have a website with over 2000 items in it there are currently using OSCommerce so being able to convert is important.I need to be able to install this solution on my own server and it doesn't necessarily have to be free but under $250 would be good.
