How do I incorporate shopping cart software into my site?
I have no formal training when it comes to this stuff website design, html, etc , so I've had to learn everything on my own just be messing around and making mistakes.I'm at the point where I can use dreamweaver or microsoft expression web to make a pretty nice looking website. Now I want to add a shopping cart to it, and I'm at a total loss.Right now I have zencart though I am not opposed to switching to another software if that's suggested , and it seems like there is no way to incorporate products into my existing website that I edit with dreamweaver. Instead, it seems like my only option is to create a new site using their templates.Is this the case? If so, can the templates be edited with a program like dreamweaver? If not, is there software available out there that will allow me to just add the software to my existing site?Like I said, I've had to learn everything the hard way, so anyone willing to take the time to help me out is VERY much appreciated.
What's the easiest and best shopping cart software to use?
I'm looking for an easy to use shopping cart. I'm by far a novice with this type of thing but have a great concept and am going to try it out. I don't have a host yet, so any help there would be greatly appreciated as well Thanks

I'm needing an online store system that will allow a better way to create categories. I'd like to have the vehicle selection almost dynamic. For instance, if you choose Chevrolet, another drop down will appear underneath and show the subcategories for Chevrolet. And likewise again for the year of the model.I've been searching google like crazy to find a cart that is a decent setup, frontend and backend, that has this fuctionality, but am coming up empty handed.Anyone know of one that would be able to do this?Thanks

I'm building my business website as we speak. I need a good, but either free or cheap, shopping cart for my site. I'm not selling tangible goods, and I don't need to charge my customers. All I'm doing is letting them make a shopping cart and get their info so I can contact them once they submit the 'order'. I'm actually selling services, such as computer repair, upgrade, etc. Free sounds really good, but if I have to pay up to $50 for the software I will. I'm not interested in using hosted shopping carts that are offered by my website host, I feel like I have more control if I OWN it and can customize it.I need it to be able to be embedded into my site, or if it can't I need it to be fully customizable so it can match my site. I'm in the process of setting up a shopping cart. I need software that allows FREE credit card processing, and I want the payments to go to my bank account. I've seen 2checkout which needs a $49 fee, and I don't want that. The software really doesn't matter, I just need direct cc payments. I am unable to use paypal.

Hello,I've added to my favorites. Included are links to shopping cart software. That being said, I lost a link to a real nice free shopping cart software. So, this leads me to ask a very important question. Which shopping cart software is the best on the market and free to download? This should ONLY be developed in PHP. This shopping cart software must include the following Search Engine friendly type URL's. Ability to add pictures, descriptions and prices. Ability to add tax. Ability to send out invoices.
